2022 July Stewardship Advocate
Summer is flying by! Now is the time to check out the list of events below and attend a field day in your area. They are a great way to share conservation successes with fellow farmers and gain new insights as well.
In recent news the EPA announced on June 30, it is reopening the finalized reregistration of atrazine, putting this key crop protection tool and today’s carbon-smart farming practices at risk. This proposal if adopted would put severe restrictions on this herbicide affecting many farmers who have used it safely for many years. Read the full story here. Submit comments today telling EPA how atrazine is a vital part of your operation, and how the potential adoption of a proposed level of concern far below the current level would significantly impair the effective use of atrazine on your farm.
Finally, mark your calendars now for Pay Dirt at the Farm Progress Show, August 30 & 31. Find us at the Events Building located outside Gate #6 from 10 am – 2 pm.
