Elliott Henderson, District 3
Elliott Henderson is a farmer in Buchanan County, where he has farmed for more than 20 years, raising corn, soybeans, alfalfa, grass hay, rye, wheat and bluegrass sod.
Growing up on his family’s farm, Elliott always thought that was where he was meant to be, but after life took him around the world through the Army he returned home, and the family farm wasn’t there anymore. Elliott and his wife, Allison, decided to start their own family farm and within 10 years grew their operation. Alongside their farming operation, they have successfully owned and operated a grain merchandising facility, event center/reception hall, snow removal contracting company, gravel/lime operation, custom applicator business and sod farm.
In addition to his extensive military service, Elliott also holds degrees in Business Management and Ag Business from Kirkwood and attended UNI for Business Finance until he was deployed for combat.
Elliott currently serves as the Iowa Corn Growers Association Director representing District 3 and on the Grassroots Network, Membership and Checkoff Committee.
Elliott farms alongside his wife Allison and their five children, Meirek, Maebry, Mavrek, Mckoy and Maela.
